]]> http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?feed=rss2&p=1054 2 Shauna and Jeff’s wedding at Wild Basin Lodge http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?p=1029 http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?p=1029#comments Fri, 10 Feb 2012 21:10:01 +0000 admin http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?p=1029 Shauna and Jeff had a beautiful small wedding at Wild Basin Lodge, in Rocky Mountain National Park.  The wind was howling about 45 miles an hour as we photographed them outside after the wedding reception, but the light was perfect, the temperature not too bad for January in Estes Park, and Shauna and Jeff were so happy just to be in the Colorado mountains for their wedding photography it was just plain fun.  Shauna’s sister, who owns Shamane’s Bakke Shoppe in Boulder, CO, made the gorgeous desserts.  They tasted as good as they look.   The wedding DJ, Jay Kacik, for the first time I have seen it, played the Bob the Builder song for their little boy who sang the words and danced tirelessly –  as Sendak said, “let the rompus begin!”

]]> http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?feed=rss2&p=904 0 Fitness model photo shoot in Boulder, Colorado http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?p=887 http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?p=887#comments Fri, 19 Aug 2011 15:58:23 +0000 admin http://www.westendphotography.com/blog/?p=887 When Alana contacted me to shoot for her portfolio I knew it would be a great shoot because I had done her senior portraits four years before.  She graduated from CU in engineering this past spring, has a great job, and is just looking to make some extra money in modeling.  We shot her rock climbing at sunset and running and cycling at sun rise.  I am up early anyway and this is just the most beautiful light of the day.  Our rock climbing shoot was cut a little short by a strong thunderstorm.  And yes,  when you are on top of a mountain holding a tripod it feels even closer.
